We are all guilty of heading to the nearest shop to get a meal deal as part of our hectic schedule. Instead of buying a can of fizzy pop and the nearest tastiest looking sandwich loaded with mayonnaise plus the extra added bag of crisps or a chocolate bar (all part of the deal) - STOP and think again!! Instead try looking for healthier alternatives such as fresh fruit salad, a fresh salad (watch the dressings and make sure you have a form of protein to keep you feeling full for longer) and a bottle of water.
A few of you have asked for tasty 'elevenses' ideas. Here are a few ideas which you could use for you mid morning break;
Greek yoghurt, a drizzle of natural honey and an oatcake to crunch up into the yoghurt - maybe even add a few walnuts!
Greek yoghurt, 1 tbsp of ground flaxseed and 1 small banana sliced - you can even add a dash of peanut butter
1 tbsp of peanut butter and 1 small apple sliced
2 x Rye Crispbreads, a small layer of cottage cheese and a handful of grapes, or you can get more creative by adding toppings like; avocado and lime, ham and tomatoes, and many more!
